Argh. This fall, I really needed a new ipod, was tempted to get a Zune but got suckered into the nice touch interface. Wasn't gonna give up Tmobile either, so I got a touch.

Jailbroke it day one, and it's the best thing ever. However, I shouldn't have been such a pansy and just got the iphone. Now all my non-techie friends have iphones (on Tmobile) and I'm the jerk with a phone AND the touch. My pockets hate me daily.

Curse my scaredycatness.

The latest iPhones are shipping with firmware v1.1.2. The work-around for v1.1.2 is still being developed. If I were you I'd keep my eye on http://jailbreakme.com and http://www.modmyifone.com. I used information gleaned from these sites to activate my phone on T-Mobile.

I happened to have been lucky and purchased my phone prior to the release of v1.1.2.
