The 'T' is Silent
motylinski April 17th. 2006, 9:46amAs you can imagine I’ve heard a variety of pronunciations for my last name, the most common one being ma-T-lin-ski. Every once in awhile a maat-lin-ski slips in. But as of late there has been a rash of mole-lin-ski’s, which I’ve never heard in my 20-some odd years. Here’s the correct pronunciation, or at least this is how I say it:
moe-T-lin-ski

Actually, the ‘y’ is silent in our name. It’s pronounced Mott-linn-ski. And yes, it does mean butterfly
Jason must be my cousin. Nobody in their right mind would change their last name to Motylinski - except by marriage

I could use as much genealogy information as you can provide. I can provide you with lot’s of it also.
