Would you say, on a whole, everyone likes attention? I would say that I am a very self-centered person so I don’t give enough attention to others as I should. I’ve seen, though, that many times people aren’t geniunely interested in what you are saying. They are just attempting to draw the conversation back to themselves. I know I do it all the time. So when two people are talking no one is listening to each other and both are motivated by selfish reasons. That’s how I know I have a good friend. When I’m genuinely interested in what they have to say and I get the same feeling from them.

It’s a rare sight to catch me with my cell phone. It’s even more rare to catch me USING my cell phone. Believe it or not I’ve had my cell phone for 3 1/2 years now. I was a rollover account from Aerial. So when I called to see what sort of discounts I could get on phones yesterday the last thing I expected to do was to be buying something.

I must give it to VoiceStream. Their customer service was excellent. I was told by on-listeners that it didn’t seem like I was a tough sell. What I wanted to know was how much of a discount do I get for being such a great customer. They informed me “20 bucks off a new phone.” That’s not a deal! Then they got to the good part “But if you upgrade your plan from 300 minutes to 2600 minutes for 5 dollars more a month, then you get 100 bucks off.” THAT’S what I call a deal. Or I’m what is known as a sucker. Either way I now get a new phone with all the gizmos on it that will do AIM.

Last night Courtney and I rearranged the apartment. It was simply amazing. With a few shifts of tables and chairs we gained all this space right in the middle of the living room. It was like magic. I have no idea how Courtney did it. But I was quite impressed.
